For thirteen seasons his father wrote the story of Real Madrid. Now, at only 13 years old, Ema Modrić has crossed the gates of Valdebebas with a shirt that is not Luka's: it is his.
The daughter of the Croatian outclass entered the women's youth sector of Real Madrid and will be part of the Cadete formation coached by Héctor Bueno, engaged in the Primera División Autonómica in Madrid.
It is a special return for the Modrić family.
Just in Madrid Luka lived the most important part of his career, becoming one of the symbols of the generation that dominated European football and leaving the club in 2025 after thirteen seasons and 28 trophies.
But Ema does not come to Real only with a famous surname.
His path into football had already begun.
Before the Madrid experience he played in the youth sector of Milan, club in which today he militates his father. With the Rossonera training he also found the goal against Sassuolo in the Garino Cup.
Now their football roads separate.
Luka continues his career in Italy.
Ema instead returns to the city where his father became a legend, but does so to start a journey all his.
And this is probably the most interesting part of the story.
Bringing the Modrić surname to Valdebebas inevitably means living with the comparisons. His father arrived there as a well-established footballer and came out as one of the most successful players in the history of the club.

He simply has to have time to grow, play and understand how far his talent will come.
For years in Madrid the name Modrić appeared on Luka's mesh.
Now, in the same club, that last name starts from the youth sector.
