A special thought for Lucy Davis, Jasper Carrott and their whole family, who are facing an incredibly difficult time together.
Lucy, known by millions of people especially for the role of Dawn Tinsley in The Office, recently revealed to live with a fourth-stage breast cancer, considered incurable. He said he received the diagnosis about a year and a half ago and that the tumor spread to the bones, also affecting the spine, the right hip and ribs.
His father, Jasper Carrott, spoke publicly about what the family is going through.
“This is a very difficult time for the whole family and we have supported it in every possible way since the diagnosis,” he said.
Jasper also told how proud the family is of Lucy, praising how she faced the numerous and serious health problems she had to overcome over the years. He added that they continue to look to the future with hope and thanked everyone for the affection and closeness shown.
Lucy talked about her diagnosis with great openness, explaining that she is trying to live the time she has in front of “in the most fun way possible”.
He also told how much humor is important to her, so as to ask friends and family to continue taking her around and, above all, not to start treating her simply as a sick person.
Lucy also hopes to continue acting, an activity that considers one of the greatest joys of her life, and to continue her commitment to animal rights.
Over the years, Lucy has already faced serious health problems, including a kidney transplant received by her mother in 1997.
A special thought and best wishes to Lucy, Jasper and their whole family as they face this difficult moment together.
